Robert P. Linn has been a financial professional since 1968. He focuses on total wealth management planning and develops strategic investment strategies. He has provided comprehensive wealth management planning services to business owners, corporate executives, physicians, lawyers, and other financial advisors.
Mr. Linn received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Maryland. He has attended the New York School of Finance and the Wharton School of Finance Investment Bankers Program. He has also received the Accredited Wealth Manager designation. The AWM program is an internal, professional designation specifically designed for RBC Wealth Management in conjunction with the Academy of Multidisciplinary Practice, Inc., and is accredited by the Estate and Wealth Strategies Institute at Michigan State University. He also serves the industry as an arbitrator for both the NASD and FINRA. Mr. Linn has his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and managed futures license and is also a licensed life insurance and long-term care insurance agent.
Mr. Linn has conducted numerous seminars during his career. He has spoken at various military bases, the Bank of Bermuda, the Central Intelligence Agency, the U.S. Department of State, National Institutes of Health, Computer Sciences Corporation, Montgomery County Continuing Education, Georgetown University Continuing Education, and other private sector businesses. He has also been a guest speaker on Federal News Radio and WTOP.
He was active with the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America from 1998 through 2012. He served on its Executive Board and as chair of the Investment Committee for the Endowment Fund. He supported a Cub Scout Troop in a Washington D.C. inner city school through personal contributions. He was a member, past president of the Bethesda Kiwanis Club, and former trustee of the Kiwanis Club of Bethesda Foundation. He has also volunteered to assist with Christmas in April, now called Rebuilding Together, for many years. He is also a supporter of Fisher House Foundation.
In 2003, Mr. Linn placed 31st in the World Scrabble Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He previously played on a nationally ranked paintball team, competing in the United States National Championship and tournaments in France, South Africa, and Russia. He is also an avid tennis player and has successfully competed at his U.S.T.A. ranking 4.0. He recently got his first national ping pong rating - (950). He has just restarted duplicate bridge after a 40 year hiatus and is now a junior master.

Michael J. Riley focuses on comprehensive wealth management planning and asset management. He also manages client portfolios and ensures the portfolio positions are consistent with our investment approach.
Mr. Riley attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation and his Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University. He graduated from American University and received his Bachelor of Science in business administration with a specialty in enterprise management at the Kogod School of Business. He is a Kogod Road Scholar and a member of the Golden Key International Honors Society. Mr. Riley was a volunteer with the IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Mr. Riley has his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and managed futures license. He is also a licensed life insurance and long-term care insurance agent.
Mr. Riley has conducted seminars throughout the Metropolitan D.C. area on a variety of wealth management planning topics. Mr. Riley is originally from Iowa and currently resides in Rockville, Maryland. His community involvement includes being a member of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rotary Club. He is an avid tennis player and has successfully competed at his U.S.T.A. ranking - (4.5). He enjoys reading, jogging, and spending time with friends and family.
Linda Lang joined The Linn Group in January 2006, after almost 17 years with the firm. Linda has her series 7 securities license and has been a Branch Administrator. Linda resides in Mt. Airy, Maryland with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family and quiet evenings at home.
Dawn McCoy is a results-focused professional with over 20 years of experience in handling a full range of administrative and operational responsibilities. She began her career as a branch cashier in the Washington D.C. office of Ferris, Baker Watts Inc. in October, 1990. A year later, Mrs. McCoy transferred to the Retirement Services Department where she worked for many years, and later became manager of the IRA Operations Department. In August 2014, she joined the Linn Group as a client associate.
Mrs. McCoy graduated from Lincoln University of PA with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance. She is a life member of the Lincoln University Alumni Association and a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., (a public service sorority).
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Mrs. McCoy currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband and two children. Her community involvement includes being a troop leader of a multilevel Girl Scout troop and being an active member of each of her children’s PTA organizations. She loves to attend cultural events, eat good food and spend quality time with family and friends.
