David, a native New Mexican, attended and graduated from the Albuquerque Academy. He began his college career at the University of San Diego, but returned to Albuquerque to finish his Bachelor’s degree in 1984 majoring in Management Information Systems with a minor in Economics from the University of New Mexico. Licensed in 1987, he began his career as a financial consultant at Morgan Stanley; he moved to Smith Barney in 1994 where he was a premiere council level advisor for 14 straight years. David and Ty Kattenhorn formed the Crosby/Kattenhorn Team in 1995 while at Smith Barney. The Team joined RBC Wealth Management in May of 2009. David has spent the last 23 years devoting himself to wealth management planning during which he acquired the designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst. David focuses on big picture, top-down planning as he has a knack and passion for identifying the real life goals for our clients and subsequently planning for their success using ideal strategies and investments. David enjoys traveling with his wife, Connie, and two sons, Cody and Clay. He is very active in his sons’ lives and often coaches their little league football, baseball, and wrestling teams. He has been an active member in the Lobo Club and Road Runner Little League. Besides coaching, David is an avid sports photographer and enjoys catching his sons in action.

After growing up in Wyoming and Colorado, Ty attended Brigham Young University where he graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning. Ty then moved to New Mexico with his wife, Joan. He was licensed shortly thereafter in 1989 and started his financial advisor career at Morgan Stanley in Albuquerque. He joined Smith Barney in 1995 and began his partnership with David. Ty specifically focuses on individual equity selection, as well as working with foundations and endowment portfolios. Ty currently spends his free time with his two sons, Tanner and Sam, as a YAFL football coach, and helping with our Road Runner Little League (RRLL) Baseball, with the Boy Scouts of America, and is the assistant district administrator for district 5 Little League Baseball of America. Ty has previously served as the president of the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico and was president of RRLL for 4 years. Ty is fluent in Spanish and enjoys bird watching.

After growing up in the Boston area, Phil started his college education at the University of Maine. He later transferred to the University of New Mexico where he graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He was licensed in 1994 in securities and insurance and was a branch manager of what is now Wells Fargo bank. Phil joined the Crosby/Kattenhorn Team in early 2000. He focuses on all areas of wealth management including retirement, education, insurance, and estate planning. Phil also works with business owners to establish employer sponsored retirement plans. Outside of work, Phil spends time playing recreational hockey, helping with the ARCA Foundation and with his church, Faith Lutheran. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Karen, and his two children, Abigail and Cameron. Phil enjoys coaching his children’s athletic teams and skiing.
