Jim grew up in Rochester Minnesota and is a 1980 graduate of Lourdes High School. He attended Gustavus Adolphus College where he played four years of varsity hockey and graduated in 1984 with a double major in economics/ finance and political science. Jim completed the Investment Consultant training with RBC Wealth Management in 1986 and has been with the firm since that time.
Jim and his wife Holly live in Rochester and have four children: Steve, Kyrstin, Sarah and Adam. He enjoys playing golf, hunting and fishing. Other than coaching his children’s youth sports teams, Jim’s volunteer time is spent helping to promote and grow the Shjon Podein Children's Foundation. In 1995 he had the good fortune of being able to help start this charity from the ground up and has served as both President and Chairman since that time. | |

Scott started in the financial industry in 1993 when he joined RBC Wealth Management. Before that, he worked for seven years in the computer industry as both a programmer and a manager. His Bachelor of Science degree is in Mathematics with minors in Business and Computer Science from North Dakota State University. Scott’s farm upbringing and background gives him a well rounded view of the world.
Although Rochester has only been his home since 1987, Scott prides himself in giving back and participating in the community. Supporting local business helps everyone in the community; thus he is active with the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce. Scott is the chair-elect of the board of directors, will be the 2013 Chair, and has held leadership positions within the Ambassadors, served on various committees, coordinated an accreditation process, and earned the 2002 Chamber Volunteer of the Year.
Scott's other volunteer activities have included the United Way 2012 Campaign Chair, board of directors, sitting on the finance committee and as Treasurer, and a planning committee to establish an endowment fund for the United Way; the Community Youth Mentorship Program board of directors and a committee to merge it with the Rochester Area Family Y; and his church finance and trust fund committees. Scott is active with his Alma Matter having previously spent nine years on the NDSU Alumni Association board of directors, help with high school student recruitment, and graduating student placement.
For relaxation, he enjoys golfing, NDSU sports, tending to his extensive gardens with his wife, reading, and trying to travel occasionally. Scott and his wife, Pat, have two grown children. | |

Before joining RBC Wealth Management, Rob worked with individual client insurance and investments for Prudential and was recognized as a leading provider of Long-Term Care Insurance by Prudential in 2008. He graduated from Buena Vista University, located in Storm Lake, IA with a degree in management/entrepreneurship. Rob currently holds the Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 licenses in addition to insurance licensing in MN, WI, and IA.
Rob currently serves as president of the local chapter of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. As a resident of Rochester, Rob enjoys volunteering his time supporting various community programs. He also works diligently to foster business growth in the community as a Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. | |

Melissa grew up in Owatonna, MN and graduated in 1988 from Owatonna High School. She attended RCTC and graduated with a general secretary degree in 1991. In 1995, Melissa started with RBC Wealth Management and received her Series 7, Series 63, Series 9 and 10 and insurance licenses. In 1998, 2004, 2008, and 2012, Melissa received RBC Wealth Management's Outstanding Contributor Award.
Melissa and her husband Ken live on Lake Zumbro and have two children: Carmen and Thomas. Melissa is currently President of the SkiDox Water Ski Team. Melissa has previously served Washington Elematary School PTA as President and Treasurer. In her spare time, she enjoys being in the outdoors, fishing, floating down the river on the pontoon and spending time with her family & friends.
