Brian King brings more than 15 years of financial management expertise as founding partner of King Miller Barrios & Boe Investment Group (KMBB), a high-net-worth investment team within RBC Wealth Management.
King co-founded KMBB in 1999 and is based in the Boise-area. Prior to KMBB, he spent nearly a decade as a top financial planning expert and educator with Merrill Lynch. During his time there, he was a member of the exclusive Chairman’s Council, routinely recognized for his outstanding financial planning achievements, and tapped to educate and train new financial advisors.
An active community member and corporate citizen, King serves as president of the Hoop Dreams Foundation, volunteers as a youth basketball coach and recently served on the Boise State University Foundation Investment Committee. He is a graduate of Boise State University, the Estate and Wealth Management Strategies Institute at Michigan State University, and the Center for Fiduciary Studies at the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. King is an Accredited Wealth Manager (AWM). An Oregon native, he has spent the last 25 years in the state of Idaho. King is an upland bird hunter, golfer and enjoys weekend trips to McCall and Sun Valley with his wife Sonja, son Brooks and daughters Janie and Betsey.
Mark C. Miller brings clients more than 15 years of asset management experience as co-founding partner of King Miller Barrios & Boe Investment Group (KMBB), where his practice is focused on portfolio construction, monitoring, manager selection and due diligence. Prior to co-founding KMBB in 1999, he was a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch for eight years.
Miller is an active community member who serves on the Friends of ZOO board in Boise and founded the University of Oregon Alumni Association’s Idaho chapter. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon. Miller is a Boise native who loves the outdoors, enjoys biking, golfing, fly-fishing, and spending time with his wife Jenn and son Max.
George J. Barrios provides clients with more than a decade of comprehensive expertise in the areas of private banking, cash management strategies, liability management, and portfolio performance reporting. His history of working closely with the KMBB team members since 1999 strengthens KMBB’s thorough approach.
Barrios earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from California State University, Fullerton. He spent 16 years as a successful NCAA basketball coach and was instrumental in guiding his teams to eight NCAA tournament appearances. George loves to travel with his wife Heidi. They have a son Jack, and daughters Kaila and Andrea.
Erik R. Boe offers more than a decade of private wealth management expertise to his King Miller Barrios & Boe Investment Group (KMBB) clients. He works closely with clients' portfolios and is committed to providing fully comprehensive wealth management solutions. Boe has a proven track record of helping high-net-worth families, charitable foundations and business owners navigate every corner of wealth preservation and growth.
Prior to joining KMBB, Boe spent five years at A.G. Edwards, where was a member of the President's Council and was routinely recognized by the firm for his outstanding achievements regarding high-net worth wealth management services. Earlier, he worked for five years with Hailey, Idaho-based Power Engineers, Inc. as a project manager specializing in fiber optic and power system projects.
An active corporate citizen, Boe has served on the Idaho Conservation League board, is a member of the Environmental Resource Center board, and volunteers with the Galena Back Country Ski Patrol. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) from the School of Certified Financial Planners. A Seattle native, Boe has lived in Sun Valley since 1993, where he enjoys spending time with his wife Wendel and daughter Crosby, and the many things the Sawtooth Mountains have to offer.
