| First Vice President - Financial Advisor Qualifications Joyce's credentials attest to her skills in the development and application of a strategy, which she calls Modern Portfolio Protection™. With a bachelor's degree in science and finance, as well as a Master of Science (Summa Cum Laude) degree from LaSalle University, she has more than 20 years of experience in the securities industry with a prior background in banking. Joyce is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, a Series 7 and a Series 65 Investment Adviser Representative. She maintains securities and insurance licenses in many states throughout the United States. Joyce has been recognized for being instrumental in helping to develop the ICAN Program (the Illinois College Accounts Network) into a Federal program now known as the 529 Plan (previously called the Educational Roth IRA). The ICAN Program allowed moneys invested for future education to grow exempt from Illinois taxes in order to encourage parents to invest for education. With her assistance, the ICAN program was presented to members of Congress and later became a model for the 529 Plans. A recipient of many awards, Joyce received the First Annual LUCI Award for Financial Services in honor of her contributions and leadership in commerce and industry in Lake County, Illinois. She was particularly recognized for assisting the many workers who were affected by corporate downsizing by helping them to initiate early retirement programs under special guidelines as prescribed by the IRS. Additionally Joyce is recognized for her longtime role as "the Voice of the Morning Market Update" on WJJG AM 1530 in the Chicago area as well as for her many commentaries on NEWS RADIO 1220 WKRS, The Talk of Lake County. She has been the subject of many articles on her endeavors including articles in Woman's Day Magazine, Registered Rep, The BUSINESS Journal, Chicago Sun-Times and the Daily Herald. She is also pleased to have represented the financial sector of the State of Illinois on a Trade Mission to Italy. Personal Born and raised in the Chicago area, Joyce is a longtime resident of the Northwest suburbs where she lives with her husband, four children and two grandchildren. She is the Charter President for the Italian American War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary Joseph J. Gentile Post II. She has been a longtime teacher of religious education in the Archdiocese of Chicago where she developed and implemented a program called PREP (Preschool Religious Education Program) for one of the largest parishes in the diocese. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching and mentoring young people.
