Allan is responsible for overseeing the overall investment, asset allocation and tax minimization strategies for your account. Allan assesses the risk tolerance of each individual client and determines the appropriate strategic model for client portfolios. With more than twenty-five years of experience, Allan is one of roughly 5,500 Certified Investment Management Analysts (CIMA®) nationwide, earning the distinction through the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Allan holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh.  He has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility.     

Allan is also an Accredited Wealth Manger. RBC Wealth Management partners with the Academy of Multidisciplinary Practice, Inc. and the Estate & Wealth Strategies Institute at Michigan State University—both very prestigious and well respected academic institutions—to design and deliver the cutting-edge AWM curriculum. Financial Advisors who meet the high standards for acceptance into the program spend six months learning how to develop effective wealth management strategies and operate a multidisciplinary professional practice, geared toward delivering comprehensive wealth management solutions. He has also obtained the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation. The CRPC® Program focuses on the pre- and post-retirement needs of individuals and provides the necessary tools to transform the retirement planning process into a positive experience. Enrollment in the program includes the study of a variety of principles in the retirement planning field. The program guides participants through the retirement process from start to finish, addressing issues such as estate planning and asset management.


Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management in 2008, Allan served as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., Prudential Securities and UBS Financial Services Inc. At UBS he was a part of the select PRIME Institutional Consulting Group, and a perennial Chariman's Club member, reserved for the top 3 percent of firm's advisors nationwide. In 2009 Allan was named to RBC Wealth Management's Chairman's Council, recognizing the firm's top financial advisors, and in 2013 he was named to the Financial Times Top 400 Advisors list. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and economics from the University of Arizona, graduating with top honors. Allan and his wife Katherine live in Phoenix and have two children.

Brian specializes in analyzing current portfolios and making recommendations to clients seeking to maximize risk-adjusted returns, with a focus on tax minimization strategies. He conducts portfolio reviews with existing clients and is actively involved in investment manager selection. Brian is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®). Similar to the CFP® designation, a ChFC® also has training in overall financial planning and understanding the basics of financial plan construction. In addition to the same coursework required for the CFP®, ChFC® candidates also complete electives in topics such as executive compensation and macroeconomics. Brian is also a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®).This designation is earned by insurance specialists with education in risk management and estate planning. Candidates must take 8 college-level courses in preparation for the exams. There are 16 hours of exams that must be passed, as well as work experience and continuing-education requirements similar to those for the ChFC®. Lastly, Brian has also obtained the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation. Michael specializes in cash management and establishing savings plans for higher education. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses and is insurance licensed. Michael also handles performance reporting for client accounts, and as the team's new client liaison, assists clients with RBC Wealth Management's online platform and other technology issues.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Arizona and lives in Phoenix.

Chris works closely with each member of the group and assists with investment related research. In addition to specializing in portfolio construction, analysis and tax minimization strategies, he helps run retirement income models and other financial projections for clients. Chris holds the Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and is insurance licensed. He has also attained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in political science from Arizona State University. He and his wife Kristin live in Scottsdale and have two children.
